Draft : An imminent danger order is an extraordinary enforcement tool that enables a MSHA inspector to order the withdrawal of miners from a mine once he identifies a condition or practice that could reasonably be expected to cause death or serious physical harm. The order is authorized under Section 107 (a) of the Mine Act.
